The column in the studio was impossible to ignore—whatever stood beside it demanded conversation. I placed an EPE foam form made earlier in the year; the space shifted, and in its shadow appeared the letter “Z.” From that moment, thought and material began to fold into one another. A yellow column, a shape, a letter—each gesture calling the next. The Greek delta, with its echo of a triangle and the letter “A,” led to a line on the wall and a yellow plane within the cube—a dialogue unfolding quietly between form and perception.

|Λ–Z| holds an ‘absolute’ price — deliberately out of step with its modest materials. Value becomes perception, a play between what we see and what we believe. The yellow entered simply as composition, yet grew into the work’s unfolding field.
